Marie Lhermitte,

We reached out to Bulldozer for a growth audit of healthcare professional acquisition on the French market. A team of freelance experts conducted a full audit of our channels, providing concrete and quantified improvement opportunities. They also shared best practices and benchmarks from similar companies, helping us identify blind spots, optimize our sales & marketing strategy, and stay up to date with innovation. Bulldozer is also able to support us in implementing the recommendations through its freelance collective. I particularly value this offering, which we are setting up on certain channels to unlock faster execution of the action plans.

How do I choose the right keywords for my site, and which tools should I use to find them?
Choosing the right keywords means analysing search intent, monthly volume, ranking difficulty and commercial relevance. Use Google Keyword Planner for volumes, Semrush or Ahrefs for difficulty, and Answer The Public for question-based queries. Prioritise long-tail keywords (3+ words), which are less competitive and more qualified, make sure you can produce quality content around them, and study what your well-ranked competitors are doing.
What's the difference between organic and paid search, and how do you combine them effectively?
Organic search builds free traffic over the long term through search engine optimisation, while paid search buys ad positions for immediate results but at an ongoing cost. The best way to combine them is to use paid search (SEA) to test which keywords convert before investing in SEO, cover temporary SEO weak spots with paid campaigns, protect your brand against competitor bidding, capitalise on seasonal peaks, and feed SEA data back into your SEO strategy. The optimal split is roughly 70% SEO for a durable foundation and 30% SEA for acceleration and protection. SEO builds a long-term asset that reduces your dependence on paid media, while SEA delivers immediate results while SEO matures. Measure the combined contribution: running SEO and SEA together often generates 30-40% more traffic than either channel alone.
Should you create local pages for every city, or focus on a national approach?
Creating local pages for every city can boost your local SEO if done properly (unique content, real value for the user), but it turns into spam if pages are duplicated with just the city name swapped out. Go for a national approach if you serve the whole country without local differentiation, and lack a physical presence or the resources to create unique content per area. Build local pages if you have physical premises, genuinely local offers or teams, and the capacity to create unique, relevant content for each area. The right approach: start national, build local pages only for your 5-10 priority areas with rich content, then scale progressively if it performs. Google penalises mass-produced city pages with no real value.
Should you invest in international SEO, or focus on your domestic market first?
Investing in international SEO makes sense once you've already saturated your domestic market, have a product or service that's adaptable internationally, have the resources to create quality localised content, and are targeting markets with meaningful search volume. Focus on your domestic market first if your national market share is under 10%, you haven't yet mastered SEO in your own language and country, your resources are limited, or your offer needs heavy local adaptation. Prioritise by first dominating your core market (top 3 rankings on your strategic keywords), then test 1-2 priority international markets (based on volume and accessibility), and validate ROI over 12 months before scaling further. The common mistake is spreading yourself thinly across 10 countries instead of excelling in 2-3. International SEO needs 2-3x more resources than domestic SEO, so make sure you have the means before committing.
Should you invest in voice search SEO and voice assistants, or wait for the market to mature?
Whether to invest in voice search SEO depends on your sector and audience: it's worthwhile if you target local searches ("near me"), informational questions ("how to", "what is"), audiences on the move using mobile, or consumer-facing sectors (food, retail, local services). Wait for the market to mature if you're in complex B2B, dealing with specific transactional searches, targeting desktop audiences, or still new to SEO (master the basics first). The voice market is growing (30% of searches expected to be screenless by 2025) but remains limited for certain sectors. Prepare now by optimising for complete, conversational questions, creating structured FAQ content, targeting featured snippets (position zero equals a voice answer), strengthening local SEO, and using schema markup. Voice optimisation also benefits classic SEO, so there's little extra cost involved. Start with the quick wins (FAQ, local) without over-investing in voice alone.
